After our Hunting Expedition we decided to rest for a day in the beautiful Old Town of Santa fe. Here is Old Town Santa Fe's Famous Cathedral, sitting splendidly against the deep, brooding sky!Within a few minutes of greeting the famous Native American Artists that roost along the outer banks of the Convention center, a Magnificent Thunder Storm broke directly over our heads. We were held captive to the unrelenting gutter buckets of rain that dashed against the cobblestone streets. We were grateful that the Native American Artists allowed us to share their breeze way/jewelry display walk.

After the Mighty storm we went to visit the Native American Arts Cultural Center. The air smelled of sweet pine, cedar, and sage. The Cultural center is nestled high in the hills of Santa Fe. We had a fantastic time playing peek a boo with Diana and exploring the amazing art displays. The Antique Native American rugs were a Major bonus. They were displayed with such prominence in the lower halls.

Our First Trip to the High Desert of New Mexcio, involved $15,000. and dragging our tiny daughter (then about 7 months old) across the great expanse and into Indian Territory. We hunted for Old Pawn Indian Jewelry for 6 days, which we discovered here and there along the Highways, at Estate Sales, and in the windows of passerbys! There is such a fantastic energy to old indian jewelry. You can almost here the drums...thud tha da da....ceremonial jewelry is popular among the Navajo and the BIGGER the BETTER! A Pawn shop owner giggled when I reached for an ENORMOUS 6 inch Brooch out of his display cabinet, I explained to him that my Collectors love the Unusual, Large and Interesting!
